Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her Tucson-area home in the Catalina Foothills on the night of January 31.
According to investigators, her doorbell camera disconnected shortly after 1:47 a.m. on February 1.
Additional digital data later indicated activity near the home during the early morning hours. Her phone and personal devices were found inside the residence.
In recent days, the FBI released surveillance imagery showing a masked individual at Nancy Guthrie’s front door during the suspected timeframe of her disappearance. The footage shows the person wearing gloves and appearing to tamper with the security camera.

Based on forensic analysis, authorities described the suspect as a male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build.
The individual was also seen carrying a black 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.Investigators have conducted extensive neighborhood searches and canvᴀssed nearby properties for surveillance footage.
During one search, authorities recovered a pair of black gloves from a roadside area less than two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home.
Law enforcement confirmed that the gloves were submitted for DNA testing, though officials have not publicly stated whether the items have been directly linked to the suspect seen in the footage.
The investigation also briefly focused on an individual detained during a traffic stop south of Tucson. The person was later identified in reporting as Carlos Palazuelos of Rio Rico.
After questioning and a property search in Rio Rico conducted by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department with ᴀssistance from the FBI, Palazuelos was released without charges. He publicly denied any involvement in the disappearance.
Authorities have reported receiving more than 13,000 tips since the case began, with thousands coming in after the release of the suspect images.
The FBI has increased the reward to up to $100,000 for information leading to Nancy Guthrie’s location or the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Separate communications have surfaced claiming to demand cryptocurrency in exchange for information related to the case.
Officials have not confirmed the authenticity of those messages and continue to urge the public to rely only on verified updates from law enforcement.Savannah Guthrie, along with siblings Annie Guthrie and Camron, has made repeated public appeals for help.
In emotional statements, Savannah Guthrie said the family believes her mother is still alive and urged anyone with relevant information to contact federal authorities.
