A chilling new chapter has unfolded in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, after police seized and forensically examined a luxury vehicle linked to her daughter, Annie Guthrie — a development that investigators believe could prove pivotal.
According to sources close to the inquiry, officers impounded Annie Guthrie’s silver Mercedes-Benz sedan in a targeted operation that followed the arrest of a masked intruder who allegedly broke into Nancy’s home. What that suspect reportedly told detectives is said to have triggered a dramatic expansion of the investigation — one that now places Annie firmly under renewed scrutiny.
During an intensive forensic search of the vehicle, investigators are said to have uncovered a crumpled pharmacy receipt listing prescription medication, medical bandages, antiseptic wipes, adhesive tape and sedative-type drugs.
The receipt was reportedly dated January 26, just two days before Nancy Guthrie vanished without a trace.
“That timing changed the tone of the investigation,” one source said. “It doesn’t prove anything on its own, but it forces us to ask difficult questions.”
